On March 27, 2025, in accordance with the action plan of the spring vacation school, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional seminar titled “Extended education and subject learning: effective methods and integration practices”. The event took place at School-Center of Additional Education No.48.

The main goal of the seminar was to strengthen the interaction between extended education and subject learning, discussing effective methods and best practices.

The seminar was attended by deputy headmasters for educational work, subject teachers, teachers of additional education and methodologists of educational organization of the region.

During the plenary session, the following participants shared their effective methods for integrating additional educational programs with subject teaching and presented their author’s programs: the headmaster of the school, Ch.T. Mazhinova, on the topic “Fundamentals of integration education in teaching subjects”, the deputy headmaster for educational work, Zh.M. Imankenova, on the topic “Additional education at school: developing creative abilities and leadership skills in learners”, technology teacher G.T. Musina on the topic “Continuity of education and applied art”.

Practical workshops and POSTER sessions showcased the best projects from the Orkeniet additional education courses. The heads of art and chess hobby groups led workshops, sharing their practices.

The practical sections addressed the issues related to the use of new technologies, the development of students’ creative abilities and the implementation of innovative teaching methods.

Following the seminar, A.T. Kenzhebayeva, Head of Methodological Department for Summarizing and Disseminating Pedagogical Experience and Publishing Activities of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, summarized the outcomes of the seminar, awarded certificates to the speakers and highlighted the value of the seminar in spreading best practices. During feedback, the teachers noted the high efficiency of the seminar and expressed gratitude for the valuable information received during the event.
