On 26-27 March, 2025, in accordance with the spring vacation action plan, Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional online seminar titled “Ways to enhance primary school learners’ functional literacy” for primary school teachers with the Russian and Kazakh languages of instruction.  

The goal of the seminar was to enhance the professional competence of teachers in developing functional literacy among primary school students, and to share teachers’ experiences.

During the seminar, the speakers discussed methods for developing mathematical, natural science and reading literacy of primary school students, sharing their successful experiences.

During the event, teachers from Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Zaisan, Ulken-Naryn, Glubokoe and Katon-Karagai districts showcased effective methods and shared their strategies aimed at the comprehensive development of functional literacy of primary school students.

The seminar was attended by primary school teachers from district, city, and regional educational organizations.

The seminar resulted in a feedback session, where the participants shared their insights and thanked the organizers.
