Methodological explanations

The minimum consumer basket is a minimum set of food products, goods and services needed to ensure the life of a person in natural and value terms. It consists of a food basket and a fixed share of spending on non-food items and services. The share of expenses for the minimum necessary non-food products and services for the calculation of the subsistence minimum from January 1, 2018. is set at 45 percent of the cost of the minimum consumer basket.
