In 2025, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region launched a new project, the Sacred East Competition, aimed at developing youth tourism, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and fostering patriotism and citizenship among the younger generation.

On April 2, 2025, the first round of the competition took place online on the Shygys Daryny website.

A total of 6,144 students from 7th to 8th grades of secondary schools of East Kazakhstan region participated in the competition.

The participants completed tasks corresponding to their educational level in four core subjects: History of Kazakhstan, Geography, Biology, Literature.

Following the results of the first round, the winners will advance to the second round of the competition, to be held in June, 2025 in the format of educational tours.

The program of educational and exploratory tours includes:

- excursions,

- master classes and workshops on tourism fundamentals,

- hiking trips,

- sports games,

- team building activities.

Moreover, participants will have an exciting and informative journey, full of cultural and entertainment events, making the experience both educational and unforgettable.
