On May 16, 2017, the International Seminar "Measurements for Transport" was held at the site of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy ", timed to coincide with the World Metrology Day, which is celebrated every year by the metrology community on May 20, to commemorate the signing of the" Metric Convention "- an international document signed May 20, 1875 in Paris at an international diplomatic conference plenipotentiary representatives of the governments of 17 countries, in order to ensure the uniformity of measurements based on the application of the metric system of measures, creating an international system of units of measurement and standards of units of values. The Republic of Kazakhstan is a member of the Metric Convention since 2006.

At the seminar, the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan awarded diplomas to specialists of metrological services of enterprises of the republic for active work and contribution for the development of metrology.

In addition, at the seminar the results of Kazakhstan were announced: "Үздік өлшем құрдадары" ("The best measuring device of the year"). This competition is held since 2011, established by the Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology in order to support and stimulate domestic manufacturers of measuring instruments.

According to the decision of the Commission, the awarding of the title "Үздік өлшеу құралы" dated May 8, 2017 by the order of the RSE "Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology" determined the winners of the contest "2017 жылғы" Үздік өлшеу құралы ":

1^st place: diploma of the I degree and the title "2017 жылғы" Үздік өлшеу құралы"- radiometers-dosimeters" RKS-01-SOLO "; System of automatic detection of fissile and radioactive materials "KORGAUSHY-01"; SPECTRUM-01-SOLO spectrometer; Alpha spectrometer "SPECTRUM-01-SOLO-ALPHA"; Sampling device "EPRAM-01-SOLO", LLP "SOLO LTD."

The company LLP "SOLO LTD" produces patented, certified in Kazakhstan and Russia working and exemplary measuring equipment. At present, a whole complex of radiometric and radonometric equipment has been developed and is being manufactured.

2^nd place: diploma of II degree - gas analyzers "GK-Wind", produced by LLP "Pravakom".

3^rd place: diploma of III degree - Electronic stationary scales for static weighing of the "Paluan" type, produced by LLP "Scientific implementation center Almas".
