The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan Artur Lastaev participated in the plenary session of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the implementation of state reforms in the new historical period.

The main aspects of the transformation of the state system were discussed at the meeting. They are aimed at strengthening democratic institutions, protecting citizens' rights and developing public control mechanisms.

Majilis Speaker noted that strengthening the role of the ombudsman institution in improving justice and the judicial system is an important step. Also, it was noted that the direct support of the President to the ombudsmen has raised the protection of people's rights to a new qualitative level
