Kasym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the Nauryz holiday together with the public in the ethno-village at the Expo exhibition center.

- The great day of Ulys is the great holiday of our nation. This is our ancestral tradition. The whole world revives during the sunny spring holiday. Day and night are equal. The Kazakh nation has been celebrating Nauryz since ancient times. Nauryz is primarily a holiday of good deeds. On these days, a white table is spread in every house. People mingle with each other and express their wishes. He donates and cares for the needy. This year, the great day of Ulys coincides with the holy month of Lent. It is very important for our country. Because our religion and tradition are twins. Our double treasure will reveal the unique nature of our people, - said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President drew attention to the fact that Nauryz holiday will be celebrated for ten days according to the new concept since last year, and said that every day of Nauryznama is full of lessons. This holiday has a special place in our native culture. Foreign guests also come to Kazakhstan specially on the eve of the holiday to get acquainted with our customs and traditions. We should glorify this spiritual treasure in every way. Today is the Day of Solidarity according to the March holiday. The place of unity and peace is always special for our country. All our people, regardless of nationality and religion, celebrate Nauryz together as one country. Thanks to this kind of unity, we look to the future with great confidence and keep moving forward. We are carrying out comprehensive reforms and modernizing the political system of the state. We have undertaken large-scale economic projects. Thanks to our serious foreign policy, Kazakhstan became known as a prestigious country all over the world, - said the Head of State.

Furthermore, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the educational value of Nauryz holiday, which glorifies the values ​​of cleanliness and hard work.

- The great day of Ulys is a holiday of cleanliness. On this day, our people planted willows and opened the source of the spring. He cleaned the surroundings and visited the nature. This tradition continues today. "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign has been going on in the country since last year. All our people, especially young people, are actively participating in the national cause. In this way, a new environmental culture and identity is being formed in our society. Nauryz is a real labor holiday. The beginning of spring is the period when field work comes alive. Now intensive work has started in agriculture. We have announced this year as "Year of Worker Professions". Our main goal is to increase the reputation of a working person. Because hard work is characteristic of a forward-thinking nation, - said the Head of State.

The President said that strengthening the stability of society remains the main direction of our policy at a time when the whole world is living in an uncertain situation.

- This year marks the 30th anniversary of our Constitution and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. We also celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. Soon we will reach the 40th anniversary of our dear Independence. At this time, Kazakhstan should be an advanced, civilized and powerful state. I specifically focused on this issue at the meeting of the National Congress in Burabay. We need to adapt our country to the new global situation. The orientation and priority of our state are clear. Digitization and artificial intelligence, large infrastructure projects, transport and energy, agro-industrial complex, as well as human capital - all these are the main directions of the country's development. Kazakhstan will be a globally competitive country in these areas. We are fully capable of this.
