After the restoration and modernization works, Almaty Mayor Yerbolat Dosayev visited the Grand Concert Hall.

Renovation works, which were undertaken for the first time in 42 years by the head of the city, continued from September 2024 to March this year. At the same time, the historical appearance and original acoustic design of the Grand Concert Hall were fully preserved. There is a unique sound wave control system consisting of hanging lights above the audience hall.

It should be noted that the Big Concert Hall, which is part of the Palace of Students, is a national historical monument of local importance. It has been operating since 1983 and is known as one of the largest venues for cultural and educational events for children and teenagers.

The total area of ​​the concert hall is 1,168 square meters. This area includes an amphitheater, two spectator balconies, four technical boxes and a stage. During the renovation works, the interior elements were restored in the area of ​​1,639 square meters. Decorative plaster elements, spectator seats and floor covering have been renewed. In addition, the hall was equipped with the latest generation digital mixing console and a wide-band spatial sound system that meets the highest international standards. The lighting system is complemented by a dynamic light system with more than 100 spotlights and soffits, adapted to events of various formats. For the first time in the history of the hall, the mechanism of the revolving stage, all the stage structure, the scenes, the main curtain and the electrical supply system were completely renewed. Also, high-tech LED-screens with a digital control system were installed.

The renovated hall will significantly expand the range of activities for young Almaty residents. From theater performances to interactive shows and digital forums, national and international events are planned to reach at least 40,000 children per year.

According to Almaty Mayor Yerbolat Dosayev, performances of the Children's and Youth Theater named after N.Sats will also be held in the Grand Concert Hall, because the children's theater is currently being reconstructed. noted.

Today, 237 clubs and sections work in 8 educational directions in the Palace of Students. In particular, artistic-aesthetic and applied arts, children's music school, jazz music school, ecological-biological department, tourism-local history department, children's initiative coordination department, sports department and scientific-technical creative department. width="100%".
