The Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beysembayev, met and interviewed in online format the pedagogical teams of schools that have been educating students for more than 100 years. This was the first gathering of centers of education with a century-old history, the Ministry's press service reports.
🏫 There are 97 schools and 12 colleges in the country, which started their activities in the 19th-20th centuries and continue the continuity of the educational tradition until today. Opened as the first elementary school in Kazakhstan in 1841, this school was educated by one of the first Kazakh scientists Muhammed-Salyk Babazhanov, educator Makash Bekmukhambetov, as well as Gumar Karash, the first editor of the "Mugalim" magazine. secondary school, Kyzyluy secondary school with 144 years of history in Atyrau region are educational institutions that continue the golden tradition of national education. The Higher College of Forestry, Ecology and Tourism in Akmola region has been training professionals who have contributed to the strengthening of the country's economy since 129 years.
✔️ During the meeting, the Minister noted that each of the centers of education, which have become the holy home of national spirituality, has a special role not only for the history of the country, but also for the future, and gave a number of tasks in the direction of their preservation and modernization. Thanks to the support of the regions, schools with a history of more than a century are not closed, do not extinguish the torch of education, and maintain continuity. We should undertake the creation of a special catalog of centers of knowledge with a century-old history. This will be an important document proving the depth of the educational history of our country. In addition, according to the order of the Head of State, these schools should be completely renovated and materially and technically modernized as needed. Also, the potential of the teachers working here should be closely studied and they should be systematically supported," said Ghani Beysembaev.
🔹 The Minister noted that it is necessary to study the experience of schools that have been educating generations for more than a hundred years and to spread the best across the country. In addition, in order to preserve and develop century-old schools as a value of education, he instructed to create an association of 100-year-old schools, to develop a strategy for their support and development.
