The government discussed the issues of introducing artificial intelligence into the education system
15.04.2025 18:31:40 1678In the government, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister Ermek Kosherbayev, a consultation was held on issues of digitalization of the education system and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the framework of the execution of the tasks of the Head of State. The need to introduce topics related to artificial intelligence into curricula at all levels of education - from elementary to higher education was discussed. Ermek Kosherbayev noted that the introduction of modern technologies into the education system is an important step towards modernizing the field and improving the quality of education. "The use of artificial intelligence opens up new opportunities for students and teachers. Our main task is to create conditions for effective and safe introduction of these technologies into the educational process. This requires quality digital infrastructure and a reliable data protection system. We need to raise an educated, technically competent generation that is one step above us and ready for the challenges of the future," the vice-premier noted.
He also said that it is never too late to learn new technologies. Artificial intelligence can become an accessible tool for people of any age and help them improve their professional development and qualifications.
During the conference, special attention was paid to the issue of personnel training in the context of digital transformation. In 2024, the National Artificial Intelligence Platform (NAIP) was launched in Kazakhstan, and more than 8,000 participants were registered. Within this platform, online training was organized for employees of state bodies, subordinate organizations and four higher educational institutions, and 915 people took part in it.
The Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dinara Shcheglova, noted that the introduction of artificial intelligence into the field of education opens up new opportunities in scientific activities and the training of qualified specialists.
"Artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of the educational environment. It not only individualizes the teaching process, but also contributes to the development of research methods in science. It is important that students not only use ready-made solutions, but also understand the working principles of these technologies, adapt them and use them in various fields," said Dinara Shcheglova.
According to the conclusion of the Council, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ermek Kosherbayev instructed the relevant state bodies to continue active work on the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the education system, to involve leading experts in this process and to study international experience.
Digitalization of the education system and introduction of artificial intelligence is one of the priority directions of state policy. The implementation of these initiatives is carried out within the framework of comprehensive programs and strategic tasks aimed at developing a modern educational environment, training highly qualified specialists and strengthening the position of Kazakhstan in the field of digital technologies and innovations.
