Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Nurlybayev visited Shu district on April 4, 2025.

The main goal of the visit is to determine the circumstances of the recent maternal and infant deaths and to thoroughly investigate their causes. employees were received by the acting head of Zhambyl Oblast Health Department Erik Musabaev.

First, the delegation visited the "Shu Central District Hospital" and saw and assessed the material and technical base of the institution and the quality and level of medical services provided.

Also, Vice Minister E. Nurlybaev met with the medical staff and exchanged opinions with them.

After that, they visited the "Shu Central Multidisciplinary Hospital". The delegation made an analysis of the cases of death of mother and child. In his turn, he stated that in order to prevent such tragic events, it is necessary to increase the quality of medical care, especially to strengthen the work in the direction of protecting the health of mothers and children, and outlined a series of works to be carried out in this direction. The head of the board m.a. - gave a number of tasks and demanded their implementation.

At the end of the visit, Yerzhan Nurlybaev analyzed the health care system in the region in a comprehensive manner and emphasized the need to prepare concrete proposals to solve the problems in the field. In addition, he said that it is necessary to introduce systematic changes to improve the quality of health care services.
