INTERNATIONAL LIVESTOCK EXHIBITION HELD IN TURKESTAN REGION

✔️The 5th international exhibition of meat and fat sheep species was held in Turkestan. About 200 citizens engaged in animal husbandry from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ingushetia, Mongolia, Moldova and farmers from other regions of the country took part in the exhibition held in the "Turkistan show arena" complex. He wished success and thanked the organizers of the good work and the farmers who are working in the direction of cattle breeding.

📌- Sheep breeding is one of the ancestral professions of the Kazakh people. The Kazakh people, who pay special attention to horses and sheep in animal husbandry, have developed their own methods of sheep grazing, breeding and breeding. The share of the number of breeding sheep in the region is 13 percent or 581.4 thousand head. There are 850 units of agro-structure with pedigree status. In the last 10 years, attention has been paid to quality rather than quantity in the field of animal husbandry. The income of the farms, which have improved livestock breeds and moved from traditional farming to modern livestock breeding, is increasing, the deputy governor of the region said, strengthening mutual cooperation with neighboring states and expressing confidence that local farmers will share a lot of experience. He also noted the need for further development of breeding sheep breeding.

✔️Within the framework of the event, competitions were held for the titles "Heaviest weight", "Height", "External exterior" of meat-fat sheep breed. As a result, the winners of 45 nominations were determined, and by the decision of the jury, the owners of the best rams were awarded motorcycles, televisions, refrigerators and trophies. The total prize fund is 30,000 US dollars.

✔️Baysary, a breed of sheep that entered the Guinness Book of Records, was presented to the public for the first time. This seed is unique. The weight of the largest ram of "Baysary" breed was 231 kg. 12 percent of the number of cattle in the republic (970.1 thousand heads), 23 percent of sheep (4 135 thousand heads), 11 percent of horses (430.7 thousand heads), 15 percent of camels (41 thousand heads), 12 percent of produced meat (245.8 thousand tons), and 13 percent of milk (447 thousand tons) belong to the region. 80% of the beef and 75% of the sheep meat exported in the republic belong to the region.

The largest sheep of the named breed weighs 231 kg.
