At the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, issues of development and digitalization of the tourism industry were considered.

The Prime Minister noted that the tourism industry has significant potential and tourism should become an industry that gives a new impetus to the growth of the country's economy.

"Kazakhstan is a country with a deep history, beautiful nature, rich in culture and traditions. There are many places of interest for tourists in every corner of our vast steppe. Therefore, tourism should become an industry that gives a new impetus to the growth of the country's economy.

At the same time, the development potential of tourism in Kazakhstan is very high. In the last 5 years, the number of tourists has increased by 7.5 times. Last year, more than 15 million people traveled to our country," Olzhas Bektenov noted.
