The Medical and Pharmaceutical Control Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the round table organized by the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic "Ensuring the drug safety of Kazakhstan: analytical approach and new challenges". This event has become the main platform for discussing the priority tasks in the field of health care, stable drug supply and development of the pharmaceutical industry.
At the opening of the round table, Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Muratov, Chairman of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Control Committee Baurzhan Zhusipov, Director of the Association "Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council" Zhanna Baidasheva, Director of International Affairs of "Polpharma Group" Malgojata Maurer, as well as the representative of the Republic of Poland in Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mikhail Labenda gave a congratulatory speech.
During the panel discussion, the participants paid special attention to the issues of creating a list of vital medicines. They discussed international experience, global recommendations and key conclusions that can be applied at the national level. It was noted that not only an open and scientifically based selection methodology, but also a strategic approach to the pricing and procurement system is needed to ensure the availability and effectiveness of medicines.
Another important part of the discussion was devoted to systematic means of stimulating the medical and pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan. The participants considered the development of additional health insurance mechanisms, improvement of tender procedures, implementation of cost reimbursement programs for medicines and new ways of price regulation.
Also, the participants of the round table discussed the issues of evaluation of medicines, safety and effectiveness assessment, and emphasized the importance of introducing analytical approaches and international standards into the process of drug policy formation. was an important step. The results of the meeting will be used to develop recommendations on ensuring drug safety and supporting the sustainable development of the pharmaceutical industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
