Two cases of dry grass fire have been reported in the Katon-Karagai district.
As a result of violations of fire safety requirements during the collection and incineration of industrial and household waste, two citizens were brought to administrative responsibility.

Employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Katon-Karagai district remind that for violation of fire safety rules during the collection and incineration of industrial and household waste, liability is provided in accordance with Article 336 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Every year, thousands of cases of uncontrolled arson of dry grass are recorded on the territory of East Kazakhstan region, hundreds of which develop into large fires and lead to significant material losses.
This poses a threat to human life and health, destroys the ecosystem, and entails both administrative and criminal liability.

WHEN HARVESTING HAY, THE FOLLOWING RULES MUST BE OBSERVED:

1. Hay should be stored on household plots at a distance of at least 15 meters from residential buildings, outbuildings and other structures.

2. If it is impossible to observe the specified distance, it is allowed to reduce the distance to 5 meters, provided that a water tank with a volume of at least 500 liters is provided.

3. It is strictly forbidden to store hay on the roofs of barns, outbuildings and under power lines.
