On April 18, 2025, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held an International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Kanipa Bitibayeva’s pedagogical heritage and current issues in the Kazakh language and literature”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Academician Kanipa O. Bitibayeva with the participation of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan G.B. Beisembayev and Akim of East Kazakhstan region N.A. Saktaganov.

The event was attended by professors and lecturers of foreign and domestic universities, experts of Educational Centers from different regions of the Republic, methodologists of regional and city Education Departments, headmasters, deputy headmasters, teachers of the Kazakh language and literature.

As part of the conference, the guests explored an exhibition showcasing the branches of K. Bitibayeva Laboratories, a theatrical performance, dedicated to the life and work of the teacher, and a presentation of the collection of memoirs of Shuiynshali Abai Serikuly “Tau tulgaly tau kyzy”.

During the conference, representatives of foreign universities joined the conference virtually and shared their experiences:

F.S. Saifullina, Professor of Philology of the Kazan Federal University of the Republic of Tatarstan,

1. Zhorakulov, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Uzbek Language and Literature of A.Nauai State University.

The plenary part of the conference presented the reports of F.S. Orazbayeva - Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Sh. Kapantaikyzy - Professor of Lev Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences,

A.M. Kartayeva - Professor of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Doctor of Philology, Director of Abaitanu Scientific Research Institute;

 K.K. Zhakenova - Head of the branch K. Bitibayeva Laboratory, a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature, a teacher-researcher.

The practical part of the conference continued at the East Kazakhstan regional branch of Orleu National Centre for Professional Development JSC Institute for Professional Development of Educators with thematic workshops focusing on various topics:

“K. Bitibayeva and current issues of teaching the Kazakh language and literature”,

“K. Bitibayeva’s innovative technologies and professional skills of the teacher",

“Pedagogical heritage of K. Bitibayeva and national values”,

“K. Bitibayeva’s best practices: natural sciences and modern scientific and technological progress”.

As part of the event, the speakers of the plenary part were awarded the badge “Honorary Education Worker”:

M.A. Kartayeva - Professor of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Doctor of Philology,

Sh. Kapantaikyzy - Professor of L. Gumelyov Eurasian National University,

K.K. Zhakenova - a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature of Y. Altynsarin School Gymnasium No.37 of Semey city, Abai region.

Letters of appreciation from the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded to the heads of 17 branches of K. Bitibayeva Laboratory of Abai region, Astana and Almaty cities, East Kazakhstan region, as well as A.Zh. Bilyalova, a methodologist of Örken East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Education Development of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region.

A total of 500 teachers participated in the conference.
