On the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Afghanistan

Kabul, April 21, 2025 – Kazakh delegation headed by Kazakhstan Deputy Prime Minister – minister of National Economy S. Zhumangarin arrived to the capital of Afghanistan.

The purpose of the representative delegation, which includes the heads of a number of ministries and departments of Kazakhstan authorized in the field of foreign economic relations, is to further deepen cooperation between the countries in trade, economic, transport, logistics, mining, investment and other related fields.

The Kazakh delegation was met at the Kabul airport by acting Minister of Industry and trade of AfghanistanN. Azizi and the Head of the National Disaster Management Department of this country N.Torabi.

At the airport, S.Zhumangarin, on behalf of the President and the people of the Republic of Kazakhstan, handed over the second part of humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, consisting of medicines and medical products with a total weight of more than 3.3 tons.

For reference: the transfer of the first part of Kazakhstan's humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan took place on April 17 this year, which included wheat flour, vegetable oil, rice groats, blankets, tents, totaling over 2.3 tons.

The head of the National Disaster Management Department of Afghanistan, N.Torabi, expressed sincere gratitude to the President and the people of Kazakhstan for their support and continued assistance to the afghan people.

Within the framework of the visit of the Kazakh delegation, a number of bilateral meetings are planned, including meeting with acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan M. H. Akhund, acting Ministers of Industry and Trade, Finance, Foreign Affairs, Public Works, Mining and oil, heads of the Central Bank, customs Service of Afghanistan and others.

At these meetings, it is planned to discuss and reach specific agreements on expanding cooperation in the sectors of trade, economy, transport and logistics, telecommunications and mining.

The Kazakh business representatives who arrived as part of the delegation will also hold a three-day exhibition of Kazakh export products and services.
