Representatives of the Kazakhstani Orthodox Church took part in the Holy Fire ceremony in Jerusalem.

The Kazakh Embassy in Israel has traditionally facilitated the delivery of the Holy Fire to Kazakhstan.

Kazakh diplomats expressed their appreciation to His Beatitude Theophilos III of Jerusalem, Patriarch of the Jerusalem Patriarchate and Goodwill Ambassador of the Congress of World and Traditional Religions, for his continued support of Kazakh pilgrims.

For reference: The Holy Fire traditionally descends on Holy Saturday, the eve of Easter, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. According to tradition, the Holy Fire appears in the Aedicule, a marble chapel built over the cave where Jesus Christ was buried.
