Refusal to accept non-cash payments is illegal
28.04.2025 04:35:22 187Currently, there are cases when individual entrepreneurs refuse to accept non-cash payments, demanding payment in cash for goods sold (services rendered). Refusal to accept non–cash payments is illegal and violates consumer rights, since the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Payments and Payment Systems" provide for various payment methods - by bank card, QR payment or cash (Article 25). Administrative liability is provided for the refusal of entrepreneurs to accept payments using payment cards: a warning for the first time, and a fine of 40 MCI (157,280 tenge) in case of repeated violation (Article 194 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan). It is necessary to contact the state revenue authorities about the facts of refusal to accept non-cash payments, and you can also submit an application with a mandatory attachment of supporting documents through the e-Otinish portal. When selling goods or providing services, entrepreneurs are required to issue a fiscal receipt to the buyer. Failure to issue a fiscal check also entails administrative liability: a warning, and in case of repeated violation – a fine in the amount of 20 to 40 MCI (Article 284 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
