Rio de Janeiro, April 28, 2025 – During the Economic Round Table, a meeting was held between First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin and Honorary Consuls of Kazakhstan and candidates in Brazil.

Akan Rakhmetullin told the meeting participants about the current development of Kazakhstan, the reforms carried out in the country and Astana's activity in the foreign policy arena. Having outlined the main priorities of bilateral cooperation with Brazil, he emphasized the importance of the institution of honorary consuls for strengthening the dialogue between the countries and protecting the rights of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad. The Kazakhstan diplomat called on the Brazilian participants to actively promote the interests of Kazakhstan in the regions of Brazil.

In their speeches, the Honorary Consuls and candidates presented the regions of Brazil they represent and shared their vision of establishing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Brazilian states and Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the state of São Paulo, Jose Horacio, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Alipio Oliveira, as well as candidates for Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alex Garcia (Bahia) and Pedro Henrique Garcia Demori (Paraná).
