By decree of the Akim of Astana city, Berik Akhmetov has been appointed Head of the State Institution “Department for Digitalization and Public Services of the city of Astana”. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Astana Innovations."

Berik Akhmetov graduated from the Buketov Karaganda State University with a degree in International Relations (2012) and later earned a degree in Economics from the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz (2015).

• Specialist in Internal Policy at the State Institution "Department of Internal Policy of the Osakarov District, Karaganda Region" /2012–2013;

• Chief Specialist in Internal Policy at the State Institution "Department of Internal Policy of the Osakarov District, Karaganda Region" /2013–2014;

• Investor Relations Manager at JSC "Managing Company of the Special Economic Zone "Khorgos – Eastern Gate" /2016–2017;

• Head of the Investor Attraction and Support Department at JSC "Managing Company of the Special Economic Zone "Khorgos – Eastern Gate" /2017–2019;

• Deputy Head for Life Support and Public Services at the Municipal State Enterprise "City Monitoring and Rapid Response Center of the Akimat of Astana" /2019–2021;

• Head of the Information Technology Center at JSC "Astana Innovations" /2021;

• Director of the Department for Information Technology and Commercialization at JSC "Astana Innovations" /2021–2022;

• Director of the Project Commercialization Department at JSC "Astana Innovations" /2022;

• Head of the Department for Public-Private Partnership Projects and Legal Support at the Department for Digitalization and Public Services of Astana /2022;

• Deputy Head of the Department for Digitalization and Public Services of Astana /2022–2024;

• 2024–2025 – Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Astana Innovations" /2024–2025.
