Buenos Aires, May 7, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil and concurrently to Argentina, Bolat Nussupov, took part in the signing ceremony of a memorandum establishing a Business Council between the “Meat Union of Kazakhstan,” represented by its Chairman Maksut Baktybayev, and the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA), represented by its President Jorge Brightschmidt. The event was also attended by the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Buenos Aires, Santiago Deluca, as well as representatives from the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Argentine companies.

Following the signing ceremony, the first meeting of the Business Council was held via videoconference. During the meeting, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation and exchanged information on the current development of both countries’ economies, trends in bilateral trade, and the specific features of livestock breeding and agriculture.

According to the participants, the “Kazakhstan–Argentina” Business Council should become an effective platform for establishing direct contacts between the business communities and economic organizations of both countries across various sectors. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to hold an in-person session of the Council in one of the two capitals in the near future.

The initiative to create this mechanism was first announced during the 4th round of Kazakhstan–Argentina political consultations held in Buenos Aires on August 22, 2023. Later, in June 2024, during a meeting between Ambassador Bolat Nussupov and the leadership of the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA), a concrete agreement was reached to jointly develop this initiative.
