Kazakhstani athletes Magzhan Shamshadin and Aman Bakyzhan earned bronze medals at the prestigious international Judo Grand Slam tournament held in Astana. Competing in the under-60kg weight class, both judokas demonstrated exceptional technique, determination, and fighting spirit.

Of particular pride is the achievement of Corporal Magzhan Shamshadin, a senior physical training and sports instructor at the National Guard’s Sports Team Training Center. In a tense match, he defeated Enzo Jean from France, asserting his dominance on the tatami.

Equally impressive was the performance of Aman Bakyzhan, who secured victory over World Championship medalist Harim Lee from South Korea, earning his spot on the podium and the admiration of fans.

The Grand Slam tournament brought together some of the world’s strongest judokas, and these bronze medals are a valuable contribution to Kazakhstan’s national team success — a testament to the high level of training and global competitiveness of our athletes.

Congratulations to Magzhan Shamshadin and Aman Bakyzhan for their outstanding performance — and may even greater victories lie ahead!
