On April 10, 2025, at the initiative of the Department of Culture of the Kostanay region, a meeting was held on the topic "Compliance with language legislation and consumer protection."

The event was attended by the leadership of the Department of Culture and Public Development, Kostanay regional branch of the International Society of the Kazakh Language, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay region, as well as representatives of large shopping and entertainment centers and supermarkets such as "MART", "KOSTANAYPLAZA", "Astykzhan", "Solnechny", "TSUM", "Orange" and others .

During the meeting, issues of the quality of services provided in the official language, the compliance of visual information and fiscal receipts with legal requirements, as well as the prevention of legal and interethnic conflicts arising on linguistic grounds were discussed.

The speakers provided detailed information on changes in legislation, including the procedure for posting visual information by business entities, the obligation to issue fiscal receipts in two languages, and new amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The participants exchanged views and expressed their willingness to work together to ensure compliance with language legislation, protect the legitimate rights of consumers and expand the scope of the state language.
