Addis Ababa, August 12, 2026 – The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the African Union, H.E. Zhalgas Adilbayev, held a meeting with Eyassu Wossen, the Founder and President of the Omotic Group company.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan stated that he attaches great importance to developing bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Ethiopia, not only at the level of officials and diplomatic circles, but also with representatives of the business community. He emphasized that developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Ethiopia is one of the Embassy's priority areas of activity.

In this regard, the Head of the diplomatic mission noted that the Embassy is always ready to provide the necessary assistance to Ethiopian business representatives in establishing business relations and cooperation with potential Kazakh counterparties.

The Kazakh diplomat also briefed his interlocutor on the domestic political and economic reforms being carried out under the leadership of the Kassym-Jomart Tokayev President of Kazakhstan, including the transition to a digital economy and extensive incorporation of artificial intelligence technologies into all spheres of public administration.

Continuing the conversation, H.E. Zh.Adilbayev briefly informed his interlocutor about the favorable conditions created in Kazakhstan for foreign investors and the development of entrepreneurial activity, as well as the state policy aimed at protecting their legitimate interests in the country.

For his part, E.Wossen informed about the activities of his company, which has extensive international experience cooperation with foreign partners in the field of trade, and expressed his readiness to build long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with representatives of the Kazakh business community.

At conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their mutual dialogue for the further development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
