Today, a festive event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held under the joint organization of Turkestan city administration and city prosecutor's office.

Veterans and frontline workers, youth and representatives of public organizations took part in the festive gathering.

City mayor Azimbek Pazilbekuly solemnly opened the event and invited the participants to the Great Victory Congratulations on the 80th anniversary.

— I sincerely congratulate you on the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory! This day is not only a holiday, but also a symbol of generational duty and historical memory. We need to inculcate this important day for Turkestan, which has a deep history, in the minds of young people, and educate them to patriotism, to appreciate peace, and not to forget the path of our heroic ancestors. For us, each of you has a different place, your status is high, - said the mayor of the city in his speech. Their bravery and self-sacrificing work is the basis of the country's unity and peace.

The festive program began with a performance entitled "Heroes are born in Turkestan" and continued with folk songs and patriotic compositions. Musical performances of various genres, songs from the war years and national dances made a special impression on the audience.

At the solemn meeting, the chairman of the Turkestan maslikhat Gappar Sarsenbaev and the city prosecutor Kauken Narikbaev thanked the veterans and gave souvenirs.
