"Çorï Avaz: Sözi mäñgilik aqın": literary evening

On May 15, the Pushkin Regional Library hosted a literary evening "Çorï Avaz: Sözi mäñgilik aqın", dedicated to the work of a remarkable representative of Uzbek poetry, Chori Avaza.
The poet's wife, writer Zebo Omonova, attended the evening. Honorary guests of the library also included Keldier Khujaierov (head of the Famvora film studio, author of a documentary about the poet), Sirojiddin Rauf (editor-in-chief of the Shygys Zhuldyz magazine), Guli Nigor Avazova (winner of the Zulfiya State Prize, the poet's daughter), and her granddaughter Mehri Nigor.
Guli Nigor Aivazova shared touching memories of her father, Mehri Nigora read excerpts from her grandfather's poems. Also during the evening, Cheri Avaza's poems, translated into Kazakh, were performed by the poet, deputy of the Ust-Kamenogorsk city Maslikhat Askerkhan Aktay and library staff.
This evening became a real bridge of friendship and cultural exchange between the Kazakh and Uzbek peoples, which allowed them to touch the rich poetic heritage of Chori Avaza. Translations of his poems into Kazakh allowed for a deeper understanding of the beauty and wisdom of his poetry, its universal values and deep lyricism.
Keldier Khujaerov presented fragments of his documentary film, which complemented the literary portrait of Cheri Avaza with vivid visual images and testimonies of his contemporaries. Sirojiddin Rauf emphasized the importance of the poet's work for modern literature and his contribution to strengthening cultural ties between our countries.
The literary evening left a deep impression on all those present, becoming a tribute to the memory of the outstanding poet and contributing to the further development of cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
