Pakistan and Kazakhstan Intend to Exchange Media Content to Foster Cooperation in the Field of Mass Media

Islamabad, May 16, 2025 — An online meeting was held between the Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Kanat Iskakov, and the Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, H.E. Ms. Ambreen Jan.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, delivered welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of information and media exchange. He highlighted that during the 13th session of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission held on April 29 this year, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of information was signed.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including the establishment of a correspondent office of the National Television Agency “Khabar” in Islamabad and of PTV in Astana; prospects for mutual exchange of television and media content; cooperation between music television channels; and the organization of Kazakhstan Film Days in Pakistan and Pakistan Film Days in Kazakhstan within the current year.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in the field of information to ensure that the people of Kazakhstan and Pakistan have access to an accurate understanding of the current developments and existing opportunities for bilateral collaboration.
