As part of the 2025 spring conscription campaign, the ranks of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been reinforced by young servicemen from various regions of the country. The first groups of new recruits from Mangystau and Pavlodar regions have arrived at military units 5571 and 5573.
In Almaty, young men from the city of Aktau joined military unit 5571, named after Hero of the Soviet Union, Guard Colonel Baurzhan Momyshuly.
The unit commander, Colonel Maksat Baymagulov, formally welcomed the new recruits and emphasized the importance of their decision:
“Today is a special day. Young men from the western part of our country have become part of the operational force of the law and order troops. The path of military service is a path of courage and responsibility. May this step mark the beginning of your school of life,” he stated.
For many, this marks their first experience in a big city and their first encounter with military discipline, yet the recruits are full of enthusiasm and eager to serve.
One of them, 18-year-old Amanat Begenish, shared:
“I’ve dreamed of serving in the National Guard since childhood. I’m happy to be assigned to a unit named after the legendary Baurzhan Momyshuly. This is a chance to become a real man and a defender of the Homeland.”
Meanwhile, in Astana, military unit 5573 welcomed its first group of conscripts from Pavlodar region — a total of 19 young men. Despite some initial nervousness, the recruits displayed confidence and readiness for service.
Upon arrival, they underwent standard induction procedures, including briefings, medical check-ups, uniform issuance, and barracks assignment. Ahead lies a 40-day basic training course: drill, physical and firearms training, as well as familiarization with the unit’s charters and traditions.
The command of the capital brigade expressed confidence that this new generation of soldiers will become a reliable support in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety, continuing the proud traditions of military brotherhood.
Service in the National Guard is not only a school of courage but also an honor for everyone who safeguards order and stability in Kazakhstan. The recruits from Aktau and Pavlodar have already taken their first steps on this important path.
