As part of the events to inform the business community about the legal protection of geographical indications and their role in the development of regional brands, on May 23 this year, Dinara Khusainova, Head of the Intellectual Property Rights Department of the Kostanay Region Department of Justice, and Natalia Rudneva, Consultant Manager of the Entrepreneurship Service Center, met with entrepreneurs of the Beimbet Mailin district on registration of geographical indications.
The meeting explained the advantages of legal protection of geographical indications, as well as the negative consequences in case of its absence. The participants were presented the procedure for submitting an application for registration of a geographical indication in Kazpatent. Natalia Rudneva spoke about government support measures for entrepreneurs and the development of business conditions.
A constructive dialogue took place, following which a decision was made on further cooperation.
