Seoul, May 31, 2025 – A meeting was held in Seoul between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Nurgali Arystanov, and the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Kang Jung-ai. During the conversation, the two sides emphasized the importance of humanitarian dialogue, fostering patriotism among the younger generation, and expanding international cooperation.
The discussion took place within the framework of a departure ceremony for a delegation of the Korean Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs traveling to Kazakhstan and several European countries (France, Belgium, and the Netherlands) to visit memorial sites linked to the history of ethnic Koreans. The delegation includes more than 30 participants, including descendants of independence fighters and young leaders.
In his remarks at the event, Kazakh diplomat highlighted the dynamic nature of Kazakhstan–Korea relations and noted that the two countries enjoy Enhanced Strategic Partnership based on shared cultural values, mutual respect, and historical ties. Overall, the upcoming visit of the Korean delegation will be an important step toward further rapprochement between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Korea and the development of youth exchanges.
