The Imantau-Shalkar resort zone is the main tourist center of the region. There are 46 tourist facilities that can accommodate up to 3,962 tourists per day, including 3 children's health centers on Lake Aiyrtavchik: children's health center "Sokol", "Chaika" and health and educational center "Olimpiets". Of these, 9 recreation areas operate year-round: "Izumrudnoe", "Adel", "Dom u ozera", "Adam", "Imantau", "Kazygurt", "Solnechnoe Vip", "Turpan", "Zarya". 

There are many seasonal recreation centers on the shores of the Imantau and Shalkar lakes. Every year, recreation areas are improved and infrastructure is updated: facilities are modernized, the range of services is expanded, and the reception of tourists is prepared.

To develop medical tourism, the reconstruction of the Shalkar Su sanatorium is ongoing, the readiness of which is 80%. The pilot launch is planned for 2025.

The recreation centers offer saunas, lake houses, cafes and restaurants, water and sports equipment rentals, equipped beaches, picnic areas and cultural and entertainment events. There are cycling and hiking routes, campsites, gazebos, as well as 13 tourist routes along natural and cultural-historical sites. Hiking, horseback riding and cycling trails of varying lengths are offered, as well as excursions to the region's attractions.

In the summer, sports festivals, animation programs and environmental events with the participation of tourists and local residents are held. The constant expansion of the list of services contributes to the growth of the tourist attractiveness of the region and an increase in the flow of visitors.
