During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The parties discussed mechanisms for eliminating tariff and non-tariff barriers, as well as ways to diversify transport and logistics routes. The Kazakh side confirmed its determination to create favorable conditions for foreign investors and implement joint projects with the participation of leading American companies.

Meetings with representatives of US legislative bodies were of particular importance during the visit. The importance of the Kazakh-American strategic partnership and the need to revive the inter-parliamentary dialogue was noted at the meeting with James Rish, the chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations.
