One of the brightest cultural events of the year - the international festival "Altai - the golden cradle of the Turkic world" was held in East Kazakhstan. More than 6,000 guests took part in the event organized in the beautiful nature of Katonkaragai. The cultural event gave an impetus to the development of the region's infrastructure, tourism and local economy.

The festival was attended by guests and local residents from various regions of Kazakhstan, as well as Central Asia and the Turkic world. For the convenience of event guests, the organizers installed yurts, tents, camping places and QR-sites providing information to tourists.

A unique mobile exhibition called "Gold of the Great Field" was opened within the framework of the festival. More than a thousand artefacts are exhibited. In particular, there are copies of the Khagan's crown and gold ornaments, to reconstructed images of a Kimak warrior, the wife of Urzhar priest and the famous "Golden Man" found in Shilikti. The exhibition aroused the great interest of the guests, and the guests were satisfied with the rich cultural heritage of the region. At the end of the event, a big gala concert was held with the participation of artists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Yakutia and Turkey. The hippodrome in the region was completely renovated, tribunes were installed, lighting, water and electricity lines were installed. Roads were renovated, modern bus stations were installed, and a unified design code was created for the decoration of buildings.

The festival was not only a cultural celebration, but also an important step towards the development of the region. The event strengthened international relations, had a great influence on the growth of domestic and inbound tourism, promotion of national traditions. The organizers plan to hold the festival regularly every two years.
