The regional akimat hosted an off-site meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev. The meeting was attended by Asylkhan Ashikov, First Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Service Department for East Kazakhstan region. During the meeting, issues related to the passage of the tourist season, as well as the tourist potential of the city of Ridder, and the organization of summer holidays for children were discussed. In addition, problematic issues of financing within the framework of the compulsory social health insurance system in the East Kazakhstan region and other health problems were considered. "The tourist season in our country traditionally falls during the summer months. Right now, during the period of an active flow of tourists, it is important to ensure the well—coordinated work of all involved services - from transport and communal infrastructure to law enforcement agencies and sanitary control. The main priority is a high level of service, safety, sanitary condition and transparency of business activities in the tourism sector," Yermek Kosherbayev said. I would like to note that this year, the Anti-Corruption Service conducted an external analysis to identify corruption risks in the tourism sector. The analysis identified the risks of irrational use of budget funds when subsidizing the cost of building tourist facilities, risks in the field of licensing tour operators, as well as risks associated with public procurement for the organization of tourist events. In addition, the facts of unlawful restriction of access to tourist sites and illegal collection of fees from tourists have been revealed. Currently, work is underway with the authorized bodies to eliminate them.
