Customs operations: the main provisions

All customs operations in the Republic of Kazakhstan are performed in accordance with the Customs Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

 

What are customs operations? This is a set of actions, including customs clearance, necessary for the release of goods into free circulation, export or placement under other customs procedures.

Where and when are they committed? At the locations of the customs authorities During their working hours Upon a reasoned request out of time and place, by decision of the authorized body.

 

Documents and information Only those required by the Code and necessary for control are required. If the data is available in government information systems, no resubmission is required.

Who can be a declarant? Residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the EAEU Foreign companies with representative offices in the Republic of Kazakhstan Carriers, forwarders, consulates, mass media, etc.

 

Responsibility of the declarant The declarant is obliged to provide reliable information and pay all fees. In case of voluntary correction of errors before taking control measures, no penalty is applied.

It is important to know that the Customs authorities do not have the right to refuse to accept documents due to minor grammatical errors that do not affect the essence of the information.
