Kazakhstan Strengthens KazAID’s Role in Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals

At the 4th United Nations International Conference on Financing for Development in Seville (June 30 – July 2, 2025), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin delivered a speech on behalf of Kazakhstan.

“Despite the global trend of reducing public spending, Kazakhstan intends to continue financing key areas contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals — healthcare, education, infrastructure, and poverty reduction. We will keep strengthening the capacity of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID) as part of the global SDG financing system,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.

Following the conference, the final document — the Seville Commitment — was adopted, aimed at building a new architecture of sustainable finance. Kazakhstan supported its adoption and reaffirmed its readiness for open dialogue with international partners.
