In the East Kazakhstan Regional Ethnographic Museum-Reserve, within the framework of the decade dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Abai, the event «The Heritage of Abai – Folk Wisdom» was held. The meeting was attended by young employees of the Border Service Department of the East Kazakhstan region, soldiers of the city's military units, and guests of the Left Bank Complex. At the event, which was held in the form of a creative dialogue platform – an open microphone, they happily read quotes from Abai's «Words of Edification», poems, and all together performed the song «Kozimnin karasy», which has already become a folk song. The highlight of the holiday was an art exhibition of paintings based on the poet's works. A tour of Abai's house and folk games added their own flavor to the atmosphere of the meeting.
