27 August 2025, the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Bauyrzhan Dosmanbetov, held a meeting with the Commissioner of Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department Mr. Chan Tsz Tat.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the field of customs affairs and and expanding legal bases between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain regular contacts and facilitate cooperation between customs services
