At the General Prosecutor’s Office, a concluding festive event was held dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great poet Abai Kunanbaiuly, the birthday of the public figure and enlightener Akhmet Baitursynuly, as well as the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan.

Deputy Prosecutor General Galymzhan Mambetuly Koigeldiev delivered a welcoming speech at the solemn ceremony.

In his address, he noted that the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbaiuly had been widely celebrated within the Prosecutor’s Office.

As part of the event, the winners of the national contest “Bes Asyl Is” were awarded. The contest, held in regional prosecutor’s offices, brought together more than 400 employees of the prosecution authorities and their family members, who showcased their creativity.

Special awards were presented to the winners who demonstrated outstanding creative work.

At the same time, the relay flash mob “Abai Kuni – Birlik Uni” (“Day of Abai – Voice of Unity”), held among prosecutor’s office teams from July 21 to August 10, was concluded, and the best regional prosecutor’s offices were awarded on behalf of the Prosecutor General.

This initiative, in addition to widely honoring Abai’s legacy, became a manifestation of collective solidarity and unity.

The national winners of the 2024 Abai Readings also took part in the scientific and educational expedition “Prokurorlar Abai elinde...” (“Prosecutors in Abai’s Land...”), which was held in the poet’s homeland from August 8 to 11 this year, following the route Astana–Semey–Karaul, connected with Abai’s life.

One of the most touching moments of the festive event was the intellectual game “Men bir zhumbak adammin...” (“I am a mysterious man…”).

Based on the results of the intellectual game, the following awards were given:

• 1st place – to the team “Kozimnin karasy”, led by group head Gauhar Mukhanqyzy Abilkairova, Prosecutor of the Department. The team included employees of Service 2, the Department of Strategic Development, the Department of Finance, and the Internal Audit Department.

• 2nd place – to the team “Abai Rukhy” (“Spirit of Abai”), led by group head Nursultan Nurlanuly Zhidelbay, Senior Prosecutor of the Department. The team included employees of Service 4, the Department of Human Resources, and the Department for the Protection of State Secrets.

• 3rd place – to the team “Khan Shyngys”, led by group head Nurbulan Yesengeldiyuly Makulbayev, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General. The team included employees of the Office of the Prosecutor General, Service 5, and the Department for the Coordination of Rulemaking Activities.

Distinguished scholars and public figures took part in the event as honorary guests.
