Astana, September 5, 2025 – The Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, along with JSC “NC Kazakh Invest,” held an acceleration session dedicated to identifying systemic problems and barriers hindering the attraction of additional investments into the building materials sector, as well as developing practical recommendations for their elimination.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national companies, as well as representatives of international and domestic businesses, including “YDA Holding,” “Barakat Invest” LLP, “Enki” LLP, “Rehau” LLP, “Lasselsberger” LLP, and others.

Deputy Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan, Arman Aksubayev, noted that the acceleration format has proven itself as an effective platform for identifying systemic issues and jointly finding appropriate solutions with business representatives. According to him, this will create additional conditions for attracting investments and strengthening the country’s industrial potential.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “NC Kazakh Invest” JSC, Madiyar Sultanbek, emphasized that the construction industry remains one of the key drivers of Kazakhstan’s economy. He noted that more than 100 investment projects in the production of building materials are being implemented in the country, and such meetings make it possible to address systemic challenges.

Participants discussed a number of issues related to the implementation of investment projects in the sector, including insufficient infrastructure support, shortage of skilled personnel and the need for systematic training of qualified specialists, limited raw material base for the production of building materials, improvement of the functioning of special economic and industrial zones, as well as control over the circulation of goods subject to mandatory technical inspection.

The proposals and comments raised by business representatives during the acceleration session will be submitted for consideration to the relevant sectoral government bodies in order to develop systemic measures aimed at further improving the investment climate.
