Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 8 months amounted to 6.5%

According to operational data from the Bureau of National Statistics, Kazakhstan's GDP grew by 6.5% in the first eight months of 2025.
The main growth factors were the positive dynamics in trade, industry and communications.
The industry increased by 7.6%. There is an acceleration in the growth rate in the manufacturing sector, where growth was 6.5% compared to the same period in 2024.
The main drivers of the manufacturing industry are mechanical engineering (+15.1%), food production (+10.1%), oil refining (+7.6%), chemical industry (+7.5%) and metallurgy (+1.1%).
Trade recorded an increase of 8.9%, mainly due to wholesale trade, which accounts for 66.6% of the industry. The highest growth rates were recorded in Shymkent (+21.3%), East Kazakhstan (+5.7%) and Zhetysu (+0.6%) regions.
