A meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market and a delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led by IFC Director for Turkey and Central Asia Ms. Wiebke Schloemer.

During the meeting, the Agency Chairperson and Ms. Schloemer signed a Letter of Agreement on provision of consulting services. Within this document, the IFC will prepare recommendations and also participate in consultations with public and private entities.

The parties also discussed current results of bilateral cooperation, including introduction of the ESG standards in the financial system of Kazakhstan, transformation of microfinance institutions into banks, as well as assistance in rule-making efforts.
