One of the largest sporting events, the traditional mass race "Shymkent Marathon - 2025", has ended in the city of Shymkent. This year, the sports festival was held at a high level and brought together about 7 thousand participants. Both professional athletes and residents and guests of the city leading a healthy lifestyle took part in the marathon.

During the marathon, participants competed at various distances. There were 5, 10, 21 and 42 kilometer races, Nordic walking, and a team relay race Ekiden (42 km). Winners and prize winners were determined for each category. All participants were provided with the necessary safety measures and high-quality organization. The route traditionally began and ended at Al-Farabi Square.

The event was held with the support of the Akimat of the city of Shymkent. Volunteers, medical services, police officers and road safety specialists were involved in the organization - all the necessary conditions for comfortable participation and spectator interest were created.

Following the marathon, the winners and runners-up were awarded cash prizes, cups and valuable souvenirs from the organizers and sponsors. The team relay race Ekiden and long-distance races were of particular interest to the spectators.

Today, the Shymkent Marathon is not only a calling card of the city of Shymkent, but also one of the largest mass sports events in the country. Every year, the scale of the marathon expands, and the number of participants increases. This confirms that the marathon has become a holiday not only for professionals, but also for everyone who chooses health, activity and sports, regardless of age.

According to the organizers, next year the marathon is planned to be held in a new format and at an even higher level. The Shymkent marathon is a bright example of a healthy lifestyle, unity and friendship.
