Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Halle Batwin, Director of Special Projects for Folk Art and Cultural Heritage at the Smithsonian Center, for her active promotion of Kazakh culture in the United States.
The Cultural Heritage Fund of Kazakhstan, established under the Center, is engaged in the promotion of our national culture and art, as well as the organization of joint scientific projects aimed at studying the history, traditions, and spiritual life of the Kazakh people.
The Head of State expressed confidence that cultural diplomacy will elevate relations between Kazakhstan and the United States to a new level.
The Smithsonian Institution is one of the world's largest cultural, educational, and research complexes. It includes 21 museums and galleries, 14 research and education centers, libraries, and the national zoo.
