September 16, 2025, Montreal. The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Mr. Timur Tlegenov, met with the Vice President for Air Transport Affairs of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Poland, Alternate Representative of Poland to ICAO, Mr. Mateusz Baczkowski, who paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Representation of Kazakhstan at ICAO Headquarters.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland in the field of civil aviation. In particular, they exchanged views on preparations for the upcoming 42^nd Session of the ICAO Assembly, to be held in Montreal from 23 September to 3 October 2025, on matters of mutual support for working papers of Kazakhstan and Poland, as well as on the expansion of direct air services between the two countries.

The Republic of Poland is a candidate for election to Part III (States elected on a geographical basis) of the ICAO Council from the Central European Rotation Group, in place of Romania.

The discussions were held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.
