KazAID and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) signed a memorandum of understanding

On September 23, 2025, in Astana, a meeting was held between representatives of KazAID and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

The parties discussed the higher education system in Central Asia, current KazAID projects, and models of international cooperation. Representatives of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) presented the Global GBA Academy project on green leadership and innovation. Special attention was given to prospects for joint work in the fields of artificial intelligence, climate change, and scientific research.

As a result of the meeting, a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Board of KazAID; Professor Lionel M. Ni, President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou); and Professor Charles Wang-Wai Ng, Vice President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
