KAZAKHSTAN'S PEACEMAKING ROLE: ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE RAPPROACH OF YEREVAN AND BAKU

At the 5th Silk Road Forum held in Tbilisi on October 21, 2025, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a statement on important agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He praised the decision of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to lift restrictions on transit through his country's territory to Armenia.

"This is a very important statement. I express my gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for this step," Pashinyan said.

In addition, the Head of the Armenian Government emphasized the important mediation role played by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Prime Minister of Georgia in reaching this agreement.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan and the Prime Minister of Georgia for their contribution to the conclusion of this agreement," he noted.

Kazakhstan has once again proven its role as a respected peacemaker in regional stability and establishing a trusting dialogue. The country's balanced foreign policy stance and constructive initiatives contribute to strengthening peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
