On October 29, 2025, Bucharest – a solemn reception was held in the capital of Romania to celebrate the Republic Day of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Government of Romania, ministries, members of parliament, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest, as well as representatives of government bodies, business and public circles, the media, and the Kazakh diaspora and students studying in Romania.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Yerlik Ali, congratulated the guests on the country’s main national holiday, which symbolizes the patriotism and unity of the people of Kazakhstan. He spoke about the country’s achievements, highlighting the steady economic growth, large-scale political reforms, and active digitalization initiatives launched by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
He particularly noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Kazakhstan and Romania have achieved a high level of cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural spheres, as well as developed a fruitful inter-parliamentary dialogue.
A highlight of the ceremonial evening was the performance of the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Romania by the renowned National Choir “Madrigal.” The ensemble also presented a medley of Romanian and Kazakh folk songs, serving as a vivid symbol of friendship and cultural understanding between the two nations. It is worth noting that earlier this year, the “Madrigal” choir visited Kazakhstan on a concert tour and filmed a music video in the ancient city of Otyrar.
The guest of honor, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Ana Cristina Țincă, congratulated Kazakhstan on the Republic Day and especially highlighted the achievements in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres between Kazakhstan and Romania. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the horizons of Kazakh-Romanian cooperation have significantly expanded.
The event became a warm symbol of friendship between Kazakhstan and Romania, contributing to the strengthening of humanitarian ties and cultural dialogue between the peoples of the two countries.
