Pakistan and Kazakhstan are Actively Developing Cooperation in the Fields of Sports and Education

Islamabad, November 4, 2025 – In October – November of this year, delegations from the togyzqumalaq, tennis, chess federations, as well as representatives of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, visited Pakistan.
With the support of the “Togyzqumalaq” Federation of Kazakhstan, efforts are being made to establish the Pakistan “Togyzqumalaq” Federation. Master classes were organized for Pakistani coaches and discussions took place with the leadership of the Ministry of Interprovincial Coordination of Pakistan, following which a memorandum of cooperation was signed.
Also, within the framework of cooperation between the Chess federations of Kazakhstan and Pakistan, a representative of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation
Zh.Amanov conducted online and offline lessons and master classes for Pakistani youth in Islamabad.
Moreover, the ITF Pakistan J60 Islamabad tennis tournament is currently ongoing from October 25 to November 9, featuring participation from Kazakhstani tennis players. Our athletes have achieved commendable results during the championship, notably with Karolina Ligai and Polina Barabanova securing first place in doubles.
A representative of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held talks with top universities in Pakistan, particularly with the universities of Quaid-e-Azam and GIKI.
Preparatory work is currently underway to open a joint Al-Farabi center at Quaid-e-Azam University.
Following the talks, representatives of the above-mentioned sports federations and KazNU met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Y.Kistafin, to explore further actions to enhance collaboration between the two countries in sports, scientific, and educational sectors, highlighting the significant potential for future cooperation and outlining plans to broaden practical collaboration.
